Sunday 23/12 Really sorry that it was delayed for so long to give an account of last Sunday event. As you knew, booking seats had never been easy. I left home at 5.50am and caught the train at Lakeside at 6.10am, the first train was earlier that day than usual. When I arrived at Tanah Merah,it was only 6.55am and soon the train to Expo arrived. I walked to Hall 8 and was surprised to find that they were nobody there. I was first in the queue and the ushers formed up the barracks quite fast. There was this man who went out of the barracks and back. Initially I thought he was a normal people, cleaner or someone who was also queuing behind me .But later, he tried to be funny, stood beside me and put his bag in front of me, on my left. Never mind, what case, I never seen and I got used to it. We were asked to stand out at 8.40am,moving to the 2nd post, waited a while before allowing to enter hall. Always asked people not to run, people would still run. Next ,ran to the front of the curtain and about 9am,it opened and got in as fast as possible to scan for seats. Not again, seats taken, reserved by things and books, felt so much like throwing them away. Its not fair loh, they played cheat. I dared not aim for front seat, only the central seats, hopefully getting a good row. No choice, I needed to move a bit right and managed to get 2 rows (24 seats).Actually when Huiwen asked me to get about 26 seats, I felt rather challenging because that mean to have 2 rows of 15 seats each, never booked that before. Since we could achieve the number, I needed to try my best leh. We had Meow Meow’s friend, Xiao Yan and 4 other Joshua’s friends for service. Before started of service, they continued with photo taking using handphones.I decided to take out my camera and they started to take more and more.It was a continuous of previous day 22/7. ![]() ![]() Pastor Kong was finally back and he shared his 2nd session of marriage seminar. The things said were so true and one of it was to forgive and forget. The other points were also very meaningful and Pastor even asked the husbands and wives to give each other a warm kiss. After service, de-brief as usual and we left the hall. Meow Meow then me were advised not to go for bs due to her friend around and all going to gaming. Along the way, Meow Meow was playing anger with Valerie and a lot of fun here and there. As the train was full, Huiwen, I and a new friend boarded the train at the other door. I got to know Huiwen’s friend and they were souring each other. There was this boy too who guessed Huiwen to be that old. Finally we alighted at Dhoby Guuat and walked to the shop. It seemed the day we met to go Superman’s prayer meeting at YMCA as we were walking. It took quite a lot of walk before finding the correct shops. We also saw 2 Hello Kitty guitars at one of the shop. Terry and Huiwen continued to locate the shops, while the rest of us decided to walk into an arcade. Valerie, Meow Meow and Xiaoyan were enjoying on a free machine. Out of the place, Valerie and Zheming wanted to eat McDonald, but Edmund wanted to eat foodcourt, ended up eating at Mc. Edmund’s mum and Valerie ate McSpicy meals with hot fudge, me was Mc Spicy meal ,upsized twister fries with strawberry sundae, Meow had the nuggets meal with strawberry sundae and Xiaoyan had the fish burger, upsized twister fries and green tea and sundae. I bought the food for Meow Meow. Zheming and Ibraham sat on the opposite side. Terry did not eat,he just drank milk. He brought to the attention of starting games soon and they ate very fast, quite a lot left over. I joined them afterwards. I saw the message of the need of camera and I went off first, telling Zheming and Ibraham to join later. Finally I found the place ,handed over the camera to Huiwen and went back to look for them, but they were not there. I went back to the arcade and took over the camera to take shots. The Hello Kitty team led by Meow Meow, with Xiaoyan, Valerie and Edmund (his mum also joined for the car racing). They had finished the first station, rolling ball bowling, started to race car then followed by fighting man and photo hunt. Huiwen was the station IC for bowling. ![]() ![]() The other side of the road, the lan gaming people were playing too. ![]() Edmund managed to enter the final round to complete for the individual car racing. We did a short announcement of results and taking group photo before proceeding for the final round. ![]() Too bad, he did not win. While waiting for the prize to be delivered, the leader shared her encountered of being the first touch with God. The winners took a photo together with the leader. We went to the foodcourt beside it and sat down. Terry had ice dessert and Huiwen ate something as their lunch. I was like the chairman sitting in the centre chairman seat. Huiwen shared her life stories with Edmund, Terry and Xiaoyan, while Valerie was writing her 10 words each correction for her Chinese spelling. Both me and Meow Meow were free and easy. Jiahui came over and gave Joshua made-up cg at one corner. At this time,Huiwen saw a egg character machine and wanted to get a Donald duck which was so cute. She asked Meow Meow to see if the next one was it.She did not get the duck, but the poosh.Quickly insert another $1 coin ^ after they turned,it dropped out the duck,Huiwen was very happy and i gace it to her,in return, she gave me her bear.Edmund continued to play and seem like all ducks left over.Soon joined by Ibraham and Edmund’s mother. Zheming initiated the D&T drawing to Meow Meow. Actually wanted to go play that arcade, but she stopped to do the work. I had never seen Zheming so serious in doing things and teaching her how to draw. I sat around to give advice too. Valerie, Huiwen ,Edmund and Xiaoyan found their own entertainment of guessing the number. Their forfeits including traveling up the escalator, greeting people, saying I Love you ,10 times etc. Ibraham was in the arcade and joined by the rest. After our stuffs, Zheming ,Meow Meow and I looked for them. But soon, Valerie, Meow Meow and Xiaoyan wanted to play that hammering game and I accompanied them over. They exchanged money and played from level to level and their hands were all swollen after playing. Meow Meow called to find them and I was asked over to the phone as Huiwen directed me the location. First was Valerie, then Xiaoyan and Meow Meow, they wanted to go home and I escorted them to the MRT even Meow Meow threatened not to talk to me if I continued to send them to the station. I went to the kopitiam opposite smu and joined the rest of the people. After eating ice, fruit platter(bought by Edmund’s mother),we made our way home. I collected a comment card from Hotel Rendzevous and Terry followed with me. Soon all went on their directions. It was quite a tired day, but I still needed to quickly do a simple powerpoint for next day short presentation on comment card. 1 comments Leaving everything to God! HEY my love ones..its me again!haha..anyway..juz to share some of me what i did this week.Monday and tues,i did 2700 skipping in total while chatting to ppl online..haha!NOT flaunting ah..i mean..time is so precious..can't afford to lose a single sec!Truthfully, without God i don't think i can do so much..haha!Thank God for strength! Now my culf muscles aching, but Praise God my muscles is growing.haha! I feel that we can do so much with our talents with our potential.Don't limit yourself what you can do and don't think you can't do anything great for God.Its your willingness and your desire, whether you can do anot, leave it to God,just do our part and leave the rest to God!Remember God says in Isaiah 55:8 'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,'says the LORD.'For as the heavens are higher than the earth,So are My ways higher than your ways,And My thoughts than your thoughts.' God will NEVER fail us,always put your trust in Him! Some sharing: I gotta lose some weight and i gotta have constant exercise on mon, wed, fri and sat..each day do 1500 skipping!haha..i can do it..All things are possible with God!*smile* Hope my sharing have bless you! 3 comments THANK YOU MY BELOVED ONES!!! HEY my beloved W220!!I got some stuff to share with you guys!Actually this is a revelation from last week, but this week den i kearn how to post so now i share with you guys okie!*smile*Hope its not too late.. I feel our christian walk is like contact lenses. How it started with contact lens?LAst sat while i was heading for BS but eventually it was cancelled. On the bus while heading to suntec,my lenses got abit dry and my eyes got abit irritated n uncomfortable,so i applied eye drop.I applied once, it got so much better, however, after 15 mins or so it gets dry again, and i apply again and it got dry again. This part is so similar to our christian life!To be honest n truthful, christian life is never easy, but with God everything is gotta be alright! We got dry seasons(just like lenses getting dry), good seasons(eye drop applied to lenses), BUT when we go through dry season, never ever think of giving up,never think of letting go,tell yourself, its just another mountain,i've been through it,this time i conquer the mountain again, nth new!It is always during the dry season our faith is tested, God is testing our faith,it is a testing period.During this period, the more we need to pray, the more we need to press in,the more we need to do something,DON'T stay lukewarm,it is during this period that we are going to GROW!! It is never about God forcing us,God always respect us,He don't force us to do things that we don't like, the Holy Spirit is always gentle,He is always there to help us.But it is our DECISION..it lies in us..no compulsion. The eye drop is just like the Holy Spirit,we are renewed everyday by the oil of God,New anointing, new vision..He pour out His Spirit Upon all flesh(Acts 2:17)!LEts not lose heart while doing good(Ephesians 6:9) guys!We are doing very well, don't give up,lets fight the fight of faith together!Hold on to your dreams, your vision, have the 'NEVER SAY DIE' attitude. HOwever, having a attitude is one thing and taking action is another thing. We can't possibly be just believing and not taking actions. For the bible says in (James 2:26),'For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.' We musn't be just hearers of the word only, but be a DOER of the word(James 1:22). Lets fight the devil together!Devil--Eye infection.Which indicates devil's attack,we can fight the eye infection with eye drop! Eye Drop--PRAYERS!! Prayers moves mountains, esp when 2 or threes are gather together, the power of corporte prayer! Lastly, i want ot thank Hui for always teaching me so much thing, guiding me through things that i don't know, clearing my doubts etc.I will continue to learn, continue to change, continue to improve!Lets move on together W220! Thank YOu my beloved W220 for brightening up my life! And of cuz ying jie for all the hard work doing up this blog! Thanks!I love you Guys! 3 comments - | Wednesday, July 26, 2006 | -
Sharing of testimonial First of all, I must bring you to the attention that our site has hit 220 yesterday night around 12mn.Though it may sound sudden, but it’s a rare one which go frame with W220. Please continue to drop by and be so willing to share with the rest and benefit every single one more from it. ![]() Next I am really grateful. Still remembered last week, when I first mentioned as my msn headings, Edmund told me that I needed to share during cg on 22/7 if my target of 40 was met. I was very angry to hear from my supervisor on 24/7 that they wanted to postpone the D&D to October. I didn’t want since I built up the things to this stage and I had just passed out those handwritten invitation cards in the morning. They could not do this because the poster stated 25/7 as deadline not 24/7 and I fought with her to give me another final chance. It was agreed to be by 24/7 at 12noon.I believed and I really hope to see it, miracles would happen as God would do the rest for me. When she asked me at 10.15am and I replied her that there was still 2 hours more to go. She said I indeed had confidence ,but actually in my heart I was rather worried. The last hour was critic and near 12pm,the numbers were slowly growing. I felt she was indeed impressed and amazed by me. The event would go on as planned. Yes! I did it. To add to my pass, I had a group of 5 Myanmar supporters and on top of it , a very good girl, yenniferyeh who was extremely super in outreaching to her friends. She constantly updated me from 4.30pm at 3 persons to 5pm at 5 persons, moving to 10 and near 8pm with 6 confirmed people. Today continued with receiving of money from Gary, Jasmine then Elaine and also on Saturday ,there were be collection from Meiyu and her boyfriend. Initially Kelvin supposed to get to me at 9am if he was going, with friends also, but he changed his mind because Meiyu didn’t confirm with him. At 5.17pm, I received a surprise sms from Meiyu that she would be bringing 3 friends, seemed so much like cell group or Sunday service, outreaching to friends, amen! It was the first time these group of people so supportive towards my organized events. Jasmine even asked me for her invitation card after VAM class ended on Monday. I gave to all, but she was late therefore missed out hers. I tried to give the 4 person package, held their payments till today and allowing Meiyu with only 3 people at $25 rate. This was the minimum I could do to reward their support. THANKFUL FOR ALEX, CHERMAINE,YENNIFERYEH ,THE GROUP OF MYANMAR STUDENTS(INCLUDING LIA), SOLVIET AND MANY MORE.. Though Brooke you cannot make it again. I know you wanted too. But seems like we always crashed with each other and not fated to go. Thanks anyway. After getting the growing numbers, there are other things to touch on,work and catch up with… 1 comments - | Tuesday, July 25, 2006 | -
A Touching Life Story Touching life story..... A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had lefdo we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? t it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL. How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? 2 comments - | Saturday, July 22, 2006 | -
Today cg from yingjie’s point of view (before I continue, as far as now is concerned, I will take Edmund’s advice and write a proper sentence for every entry and not msn language because he says is not so good to write broken English. But as far as I concern, if you feel much more comfortable and easier to write in short forms or so, please go ahead, its your space area too and I don’t wish to restrict your freedom of expressing. That’s not my main purpose when I set up this site, I want you to be so bold to share.) Today after settling my school stuffs, I rushed down to meet Jiahui for a bible study at the void deck of Valerie’s house. Before I arrived, Jiahui had already planted all the points for the treasure hunt. We finished around 2.40pm and went up to Valerie’s house. I stayed in the room with her while she was rehearsing. Soon the rest came and we could hear that they were praying outside. All were gathered in the room. As quite a lot of members were sick so we started to pray for individual, for those who were sick, like Edmund and Zheming. Jiahui continued to tell us what colour tags to find and what were the instructions for the treasure hunt .Initially we had to tie rubber bands around two hands, but since it was easily broken therefore based on the trust we would follow the game rules, we just needed to hold hands. Huiqin came in and received her prayer too as her stomach also not that well. Huiwen, Terry, me and Meow Meow one group while Valerie, Zheming, Huiqin and (Edmund) another group. In the beginning, it was very difficult to find and soon enough Meow Meow saw the first one near the unit sign then next we found another one near the lift signboard at level 1.I pasted all the stickers on my card holder. Almost left with 5 minutes, we returned to the starting point outside Valerie’s house and Jiahui gave us 1 hint outside her house and Valerie found it. Next would be within this level and upper level and I managed to find it at the pipe area. Our group had 70 points ,winning over the other team by 10 points. Jiahui brought us to level 1 and quickly Valerie found it near the signboard area. While in the lift, she was so thankful to find the other inside the lift. ![]() winners so happy Valerie won the individual award and my group got the team winner. We were presented twisties as prizes. We cool down ourselves before proceeding into the room for cell group proper. Today song sheets were rather special with guitar chords on them. We sang Great Is Our God, followed by the sharing of testimonial by Huiwen ( exam strength),me (D&D help & 40 breakthrough)and Terry(sickness healing).Today’s message was a continuous of 2 weeks ago. It seemed close to me because part of it was people take things for granted and Jiahui quoted my queuing as an example. ”Don’t curse, don’t rehearse, don’t nurse, just disperse and let God reverse it”, all the “se” theories. Great Successes/Services/Shortages in life are often followed by Failure/Forgetfulness/Fullness.—its true to the daily life As Jiahui was rushing off for dinner, there was no time for the last song-Thank You, but as promised in BS, she asked them to gather and prayed for me to receive the holy spirit. I like to thank her for that. ”Cell group has ended and fellowship has begin”.We ate twisties while Huiwen and Terry prepared the green tea. Later they decided to pour the gold fish food into a big bowl with the last pack of cheese twisties. Edmund also shared the chocolate biscuits with us. The bowl brought Terry the idea of dog food and soon all seated on the floor. Huiwen decided to start the number games, something liked the last Marine buffet forfeit style. Huiwen started to think of a number first and supposed to have Oswin as the victim, but he denied Huiwen might have change her number so they changed to keying number on phone. I actually ate twice and by the 2nd time, I felt it was getting a bit “er xin” because at the first place, the goldfish food already tasteless. I had set both my number to be 2 and the second time Terry very fast got it and he needed to fulfill the forfeit. The second mix, I did an easy one with a little twisties and a bit of peach tea(Meow Meow forfeit, but Edmund drank for her).My first mix was terrible because I put a lot and pepper too. It was getting worst and I decided to throw away the remaining in order not to allow more to suffer. I joined by Huiwen cleaned up the cups and she swept the floor, with complaints from some. We took our leave about 8.30pm and it was the first time Valerie asked to join us for dinner. Along the way, they were busy taking photos till we reached the coffee shop which Valerie took us there. She wanted to have her famous minced meat noodles, but the shop was closed. The girls shared one plate of salted fish fried rice, Edmund had the same rice too. Terry mixed chicken with add stuff, me eating hor fun and Zheming ate the mixed vegetable rice. We really had fun together for this fellowship. ![]() fellowship-where 's terry-camera man lah Valerie went opposite way home and the rest took bus 98.Somehow they decided to stop at Jurong East instead of Lakeside. Once reached home, as usual I quickly uploaded those photos and started sending once I saw the online person. Huiwen ,followed by Edmund and Meow Meow were online, but Edmund was the fastest to receive all. That’s all for today. So tired leh, long time never write such a complete sentence, detailed blog already. 3 comments - | Friday, July 21, 2006 | -
"SuNsHiNe KiD's" First Post Wow... this blog rocks man... i'm lovin' it... But hey, what's with the music??? i had goosebumps when i first heard it... haha, just kidding... N people who's happening to visit us? ur first impression i'm sure is gonna be what's W220??? is it a new phone by sony ericsson? is it a ... Nah! all wrong... we're just a family made up of ordinary people, doing extra-ordinary things & who are on fire for God... Yeah! & we're from city harvest church, singapore =) ok... this is gonna be my first post... its a story about judging people... as the saying goes, "do not judge a book by its cover"... think u guys have heard it before but never mind, if u havent... here it goes... Unconditional Love A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco. "Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me." "Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him." "There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us." "I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live." "No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us." "Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own." At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg. The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, there's someone who won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are. The End... Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from us!!! There's a miracle called Friendship That dwells in the heart You don't know how it happens Or when it gets started But you know the special lift It always brings And you realize that Friendship Is God's most precious gift! Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. 3 comments - | Thursday, July 20, 2006 | -
