Are you weary of doing good? Hey W220, Seemed like no one is blogging. I shall blog and share what I feel. Are you guys weary of doing good? I can feel the LETHARGY in some people and my faith leaks when I see that. Was kind of disappointed that its already Monday and SOME OF YOU who can't go for Family Day actually didn't tell me until I asked. Is there no initiative or courtesy at all to even inform me early before hand if you know that you can't come? Have we come to a stage whereby you don't even care? I am burdened. Seriously burdened by the state that we are in. If there's anything that I've done wrongly, or I've wronged you, I'm sorry. Pls let me know. Don't keep it to yourself. Let me know what I can improve on and do to serve you better. A lot of you are busy. I am busy too. I missed the times when people will come to me and "complained" that I didn't spend time with them. Nowadays, no one complained and not many stayed. Why? We can't coexist with people from W362? Seriously, someone pls enlighten me what is wrong. I need help from all of you. Thanks. 0 comments - | Thursday, April 19, 2007 | -
What have you done? Dear all, I was just praying for a few people and thought of some things which I wanna share from my heart. We always stressed that we are a family. We must love one another. We must care and help one another. I wonder how many of us are really putting LOVE into ACTIONS. I wonder how many of you realised that Zheming, Kenneth, Daniel and Shaun have not been joining us for a period of time. I wonder how many of you realised that Oswin only comes for service and always left without fellowshiping. I wonder how many of you make an effort to call them and find out what happened to them. I wonder how many of you bothered to even sms or call them to encourage them. I wonder how many of you prayed for them during your quiet time. I wonder how many of you will love them so much that you'll cry for them when you pray for them. I wonder how many of you care for others more than you care for yourself. I wonder how many of you can go beyond yourself, your own comfort group of people and share your love with those that really needs it at their lowest point in life. I know some of you do, but I really wonder how about the rest. Friends, if no one is going to do anything to even care for them, no wonder they don't even want to come even after I've talked to them. No one will want to come to a CG where no one loves them. No one will want to come to a CG whose members only talk among themselves and no one else outside their group. I cut and pasted Pastor Phil's ENLARGE for all of you. How have you applied that in your life? Have you done something to at least try? My heart is burdened! Very burdened. I don't want to lose any of them. Everyone is precious in God's eyes. I can't do all these alone. I need all of us to really show our care and concern for these people. If we can't do it, no matter how many people God add into our CG, we'll not be able to keep the people. GENUINE LOVE and CONCERN is the key to building a STRONG FAMILY in CHRIST. 0 comments - | Monday, April 16, 2007 | -

ENLARGE!!! Dear all, this is from Phil Pringle's Leadership Files. Do take some time to read and internalise what it means. Let's enlarge! ENLARGE 'Enlarge the place of your tent.' - Isaiah 54 As we get larger, we must get larger. It's impossible to run a large organisation like a small one. Bigger groups attract bigger people. We have to become bigger people to handle bigger people. Enlargement means - I get more generous; I widen my acceptance of others; I'm more merciful; I plan bigger, longer, grander plans; I stretch! I cope with more. I have more patience, greater love, stronger joy, firmer purpose. I enlarge! 2 comments Updates on Exams Hi. Dear beloveds, I realised that many people has been sick lately. Can we keep one another in prayers? If you feel that you have not been close to someone in the CG, maybe what you can do is to dedicate some time everyday just to pray for that person. Prayers will break all barriers and help you to build relationships. Of cos, faith without works is dead. After praying, have some practical actions to help you build that relationship. Though the CG is BIG now, it will not function well unless ALL of us become BIG on the inside as well. Let's grow in our capacity and love for people. LOVE GOD WHOLEHEARTEDLY, LOVE PEOPLE FERVENTLY. It's not enough just to love God. We have to LOVE ONE ANOTHER as well. Prayers for: 1. Yingjie --Stomach pain. (not sure what's the cause, but it seemed to be stomach flu) 2. Terry -- Headache and sudden lost of hearing now and then 3. Edmund -- Fever and blur vision 4. Huiqin -- Cough 5. Kim -- Headache 6. Weizhen's dad -- Heart problem that requires surgery (praying and believing that he can come for Benny Hinn's service and let God heal him miraculously) That's all that I've heard about people not feeling well. I hope this is all. Reject all sickness and pain in Jesus' name! Let's also commit ourselves to a healthy lifestyle by taking care of our own body, eat right, exercise right and sleep right. Let's not take God's grace for granted. Also, we've had a harvest this Easter. Let's really help to retain all those friends that had responded. Help W362 to integrate their friends as well. Let's go beyond W220 and work for the KINGDOM of GOD. W362 and W220 belong to God. Every soul belongs to God. You, yes YOU, play a part. Onward Christian SOLDIER! Aja aja fiti!! 0 comments - | Thursday, April 05, 2007 | -
building life An elderly carpenter was ready to retire, and he told his boss of his plans to leave and live a more leisurely life with his wife. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see such a good worker go, and he asked the carpenter to build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end a dedicated career. When the carpenter finished his work, the employer came to inspect the house. He handed the front-door key to the carpenter. “This is your house,” he said. “It is my gift to you.” The carpenter was shocked! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. So it is with us. We build our lives, a day at a time, often putting less than our best into the building. Then with a shock we realize we have to live in the house we have built. If we could do it over, we’d do it much differently. But we cannot go back… You are the carpenter of your life. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Your attitudes and the choices you make today build your “house” for tomorrow… Build wisely! Ask God to be the Master-builder of your life! He will show you how to build a strong foundation for the ‘house’ of your life. 1 comments Holding on to Your Faith! Holding on to Your Faith! Devotion: I read a story about a little girl who was very nervous at the prospect of her first horseback ride, even though she was to be perched behind her grandfather who was an excellent rider. As her parents helped her onto the horse, she cried, "What do I do? I don't know how to ride a horse! I've never done this before! What do I do?"Her grandfather said in a reassuring tone, "Don't worry about the horse or about how to ride it. Just hold on to me, Darlin', just hold on tome." This story reminds me of the familiar saying, "When you're at the end of the rope, hold onto your faith." That's easier said than done unless you realize that the object of your faith is a person???Jesus Christ. We always can hold onto Him. It's when we lose touch with the Lord that we fall into fear and panic, but keeping our minds on Him in thought, prayer, and worship brings peace to our hearts and minds. Most of us have sung about this truth.Today let the words of this old faithful hymn sink deep into your soul. What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer. We must grip tightly to our faith in Christ through prayer and mediationon a daily basis Then, whether our day is like a tried old nag or abucking -bronco, holding on to our faith keeps us in the saddle untilthe ride is over. However, if we look to ourselves or at the "beast,"whatever that may be, then we will always feel weak, helpless, andafraid. Like the grandfather, who was an excellent rider, our heavenly Father iseven greater. Christ has both hands on the reins. He knows how to ride, which direction the horse will run, and how long the journey will last. All we have to do is hold on. Dear Lord, No matter how wild the ride gets, I trust that You are incontrol and I'm safe holding on to You, in Jesus' Name, Amen. 1 comments |
